Meet Krys

Krys is a Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists.  She has over 15 years of experience working in the St. Albert community with families and youth in the public school system as well as prior experience in private practice. She has had the privilege of working with and supporting adolescents, adults, families, and couples with a comprehensive range of concerns. She focuses on helping clients find and identify their strengths while utilizing them with individualized strategies and tools to help them reach their goals.

Krys' Approach

Krys works collaboratively with clients to gain insight into thoughts, beliefs, and emotions that are no longer serving them to help them overcome struggles with grief & loss, anxiety, depression, interpersonal relationships, stress, emotional regulation, suicidal ideation, self-harming behaviours, body image, and identity development.

Krys’ style is warm, compassionate, strength-based, and client-centred. She is passionate about helping clients, families and couples with a variety of issues and has a strong background in working with adolescents, young adults, and individuals identifying as 2SLGBTQI+. She strives to ensure all clients feel heard, understood, supported and empowered.  Krys integrates therapeutic techniques from a number of approaches including: Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Family Systems Therapy, Culturally Sensitive Therapy, Positive Psychology, Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
